May 23, 2013. The Association des avocats de la défense de Montréal (AADM) has awarded Lida Sara Nouraie and Nicholas St-Jacques with the Robert Sacchitelle Prize to underline their outstanding performance as defense lawyers. More specifically, this award was meant to acknowledge the quality of their work at the Supreme Court of Canada in March 2013 during a second-degree murder trial. An appeal has been granted one week after the deliberation of the jury.

Lida Sara Nouraie is responsible for the legal advice service at the Société Elizabeth Fry du Québec. Nicholas St-Jacques, is also involved in the mentioned organization as a Board member (Secretary). Both of them work as criminal and penal lawyers at Desrosiers, Joncas, Massicotte Firm. Mrs. Nouraie is also a lecturer at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) where she regularly co-teaches with Mr. St-Jacques.

Lida Sara Nouraie has received several awards despite her young career: 1) Lawyer of the Year – Pro Bono by the Association du Jeune Barreau de Montréal (AJBM) in 2007, 2) The Gabriel Lapointe Award by the AADM in 2012 and 3) Lawyer of the Year – Criminal Law by the AJBM in 2012.
