"Maman me raconte is undoubtedly the most beautiful activity offered to the women at the facility, the most humane activity. Mothers have the opportunity to give a recording of their voice to their little one, and often, they can say with their story what words alone cannot always express. The moms speak from their hearts," shares a volunteer involved in the project in detention.
In 2016-2017, 168 children received a book as a gift accompanied by their mother's voice. This project is carried out in the two women's detention centers in Quebec by the Society's team.
Our 2017 fundraising campaign was dedicated to the Maman me raconte project, and we sincerely thank all donors for their support.
